When a translation into the national or a foreign language is requested to be legally valid, the intervention of a sworn (certified) translator is required, who, by affixing his/her signature and seal certifies the translation and is ethically and legally responsible for his/her work.

In the Republic of Argentina, any document written in a foreign language that has to be submitted before public agencies, departments or authorities must be accompanied by its sworn translation made by a duly certified sworn translator, the only professional with legal capacity to make a translation legally valid.

Documents that may require a sworn translation:

  •   Related to education (syllabuses, transcripts, diplomas).
